I LOVED the hammocks in our mountain casa's back yard! |
It was a great place to relax! |
Danni loved her hammock too! |
Even though we were on vacation, we still had to do homework. We loved working outside! |
Poolside homework session! |
We had a great time swimming in our own swimming pool! |
Danni loved cooling off in the pool! |
The view of the pool from our roof! |
We had to climb a very long hill to get to this villa!
|
The sunsets were gorgeous!

We were about 30 minutes from the city... This is the shuttle to town! (It got VERY wet inside when we rode it in a torrential rain storm!) |
Danni loved the baby cows! (It reminded her of home!) |
For our second week in Nicaragua, we moved to a mountain villa near the town of San Juan del Sur. It was secluded in the jungle above the Pacific ocean! We could hear the waves crashing from our backyard!! We were there during the stormy season, so that meant that every night we got to see (and hear) incredible thunder storms! Our only complaint about this house was that it was a looooong way from civilization! The nearest town (San Juan del Sur) was about a 30 minute shuttle ride away... and the shuttle departed about a mile down a long hill from our villa. This meant that we had a tough walk back up the hill at the end of the day. Danni and I were troopers, though!!! We had a nice relaxing time here and the slower pace was wonderful after the hustle and bustle of the city! :)
