After spending nearly a week in the mountains... and pretty far from civilization, Danni and I were happy to head back to the big city! We took a three hour drive back to the capital, Managua. It was well worth the drive! There were two malls within walking distance from our hotel ... and BOTH of them had McDonald's locations!!! Woohoo! We were thrilled to have some familiar food after two weeks of eating things that 'were a little different!' We had a blast doing American things in Nicaragua... we ate at Mickey D's, went to the movies (in Spanish!), Danni got her nails done, and we played in the arcade. It was great preparation for our re-entry to the United States. :)
