A Fair-ly Awesome Evening! :)

Getting ready to ride the big slide! Danni was tall enough this year!

Wheee!!!

Milking the fake cow.  I sprayed the 'milk' all over everyone in line.  :)

Welcome back, Beast face!

Being gentle in the butterfly garden!

She caught one!

Sooo delicate!

This was right after I cried about the first butterfly flying away from me...  :(

Sliding down the tunnel slide!

Danni's turn!

She didn't like the rough road... so I held on to her tight!

I braved the roller coaster!

... and the carousel!

Beast Face part II

Yes, I am 6 years old and am riding in a princess stroller.  Beats walking.  :)
Yay for the Orange County Fair!  We finally made our annual visit... and it was every bit as awesome as we had remembered!  :)  Danni, Autumn-Baby, and I had a blast riding on all sorts of rides, meeting the animals, and trying some yummy new food.  Danni and I loved the butterfly tent!  We got to feed the butterflies nectar, and they landed on our heads, hands, and clothes.  I could have stayed there the whole time!!  I hope the butterflies will wait for me until next year!!! :)

San Clemente Beach Day!

I jumped right in!

Running from the waves!

I can't tell if she's laughing or if her teeth are chattering from the cold!!

Wave hopping together!

Little beach runner...

She preferred to play in the sand!

I helped after a cold dip in the ocean!

Daddy and Baby Ethan...

So handsome!

She's not the most graceful baby holder!!

He liked relaxing in the comfy chair with me!

Our favorite part... roasting marshmallows!

This time, I cooked more than I ate!!  :)
Uncle Paul and Aunt Kelly went on their annual camping trip to San Clemente Beach.  We happily joined them for a day of beach fun and a yummy dinner (and delicious dessert!!)  Papa and Auntie Lynn came too!!  I couldn't wait for it to get dark so that we could build a campfire and roast marshmallows!  I made s'mores (on chocolate chip cookies instead of graham crackers!) for everyone!!!  I'm hoping that next year, we can actually camp there!!!  (Baby Ethan is going to need a partner in crime by then!)  :)

First Day of First Grade!

Ready or not, First Grade, here I come!!

Hanging with Hailey on our first day!

Danni wanted to be a part of the love-fest too!

My very own desk!

LOVE my 'shoulder partner' Bailey!  :)
School started for me on July 6th (Darn year-round school!!)  ;)  Watch out, I'm a big first grader now!!  I was super excited about all of the changes...  we get TWO recesses, we get to buy lunch if we want to, and we stay all day (which means NO NAPS!)  So far, I really love my teacher, and my class!!   (And, I'm doing great with all of the academic stuff too!!)  First grade is pretty darn cool!!  :)

Race Car Builders!

She wore her Hello Kitty purse even while she hammered...

Hammering the tires on...

A blue paint job!

Daddy helped her with the finishing touches!

Super proud of her pink car!

It needed a tad more on the bumper!

You can kind of see our masterpieces!!

Happy builders!!
This month, Home Depot had a 'Despicable Me 2' themed project ... we built 'Lucy's Car' from the movie. We are getting to be pretty quick at this building thing!!!  Autum-Baby and I painted our cars turquoise, like they are in the movie... but Danni insisted on having hers pink!  Since she asked the Home Depot people so nicely, they went and got her pink paint!  It pays to be sweet!!! :)

A Fabulous Fourth!

Ready for the parade!

Patriotic wagon riders!

We got TONS of candy!

Miss 4th of July!

Sillies!

Making a 4th of July necklace at the street fair!

Little fisher-woman!

I won a party popper!

Ring tosser!

She won a big bear in the fishing game!  :)

Sliding!

With no hands!

She giggled the whole way down!

Fun at the park!

She was dropping sand on me and laughing her buns off!

Silly rope climber!

Dirty-footed swinger!

Making sure Papa got his workout!

Daddy too!

Climber!

Navigating the monkey bars!

And the giant yellow tunnel!

Loving the fireworks with Papa!!

Danni snuggled up with Daddy!

Then switched laps to be silly with Papa!
We LOVE the Fourth of July!!  We headed down to Papa's house for the second year in a row!  Ventura has a super cool 'Push-em, Pull-em' Parade that is just for kids!  There are tons of kids in strollers, wagons, on scooters and bikes...  and, everyone throws candy!  It's like Halloween on the Fourth of July!!  :)  We had a great time decorating our wagon and marching in the parade.  I scooped up tons of candy, and Danni ate it!  :)  We make a good team!  Afterward, we went to the Street Fair and shopped a little bit, then played at the park!  We then headed up to a church in Thousand Oaks for a picnic dinner and prime viewing of the Thousand Oaks fireworks display.  Everyone was happily exhausted by the time we went to bed!  :)
