Exploring Prado Park!

I got brave and fed the gesse by hand.  Then one nipped at Danni and we were scared again! 

Who needs swim suits for the water park?!  Not us!!

I caught two tadpoles... one is still alive!!  (But it turned out to be a fish!)

Summer time means long days of FUN!  We spent one of our first vacation days at Prado Park... It is a HUGE park that has open fields, playgrounds, a water park, and a giant lake where you can actually fish!!  Danni and I went there on a week day, so there wasn't a soul in sight!  We loved having the play equipment, swings, and water park all to ourselves!  The ducks and geese were glad that we visited too... we brought some bread for them to enjoy for breakfast!!  We packed a picnic lunch... but apparently the crows were a little upset that we didn't bring any bread for them, because they pecked our sandwiches while we weren't looking.  That's okay - our picnic then consisted of cheese balls and Nutter Butters!!!  After lunch, I went tadpoling -- I caught some in my Big Gulp cup!!  Two couldn't escape from my clutches!!  One of them died right away... but the second one is still going strong.  But, it has never sprouted legs, so I think that it must be a fish.  We may take him back to the lake to return him.... before someone drinks out of that Big Gulp cup!!
