Date Night With Mommy!!

We dressed up like Baymax from Big Hero 6.  It was my idea!!

Baymax is a pretty big guy -- we puffed ourselves up to do our best Baymax impression!
I took Mommy to my school's Mother-Son Dance!  The dance had a superhero theme, so I decided that we should dress up like Baymax from Big Hero 6!  Mommy and I found long sleeved white shirts, white sweat pants and white beanies.  Mommy painted Baymax's eyes on our beanies and we were good to go!  No one else at the dance dressed up like Baymax so we were pretty original!  We had a fantastic time eating In N Out, eating cookies and candy, and dancing until our feet were going to fall off!  At the end of the night, we stayed to help clean up -- the DJ thought that was nice so he gave me a Juice It Up gift card!  Now I get to take Mommy on a second date!!!

Some Aerosports Action!!

Relaxing in the foam pit!!

Up to my waist in blocks!

Danni tried to help pull me out of the pit!

She got air on her jump!!

Still a bouncing baby boy!!

Sliding down the trampoline walls!

Airborne!!

I am a SUPER high jumper!

Danni is too!

We found a second foam pit!
Ready to throw blocks at Mommy!
A new trampoline place opened near us at the beginning of the year!  We finally found time to check it out!!  We went on a weekday and it was EMPTY!  Danni and I loved having the whole place to ourselves!  There weren't lines for the foam pits and there were no crowds on the big trampolines!!!  We bounced ourselves silly!!!

An Incredible Time at John's Incredible Pizza!!

Toothless skee baller!

Taking a break from gaming to love on Mama Vee!

Still up to my old tricks!

Scoring tons of tickets!

Our vacation isn't complete until we have visited John's Incredible Pizza!!!  We met Mama Vee there for a fun afternoon of games, pizza, and dessert!!  Always a hit in our book!!

Road Trippin' back to the 951!

Visiting the Mt. Whitney Fish Hatchery.  It was closed, but still gorgeous!

The ducks were hungry.  We fed them Schat's Bakery bread!

We fed the fish too!

Funny how food helps you to make all sorts of friends!

Can you find us?

Papa told us where to find a tree that had fallen over and smashed a house.  No one lives there, so they just left it!

Danni and Daddy explored...

We visited Manzanar too... this is the memorial in their cemetery.

People leave strings of 1000 cranes there for good luck.

I liked the old Manzanar fire truck!

On the bridge that Papa Don and Papa built!

Scaring away all of the fish.

The creek was so low!  Dumb drought!

I liked hanging by the creek!

We found where Papa wrote his name in the cement - right by his handprint!  He was just a little boy when he did it!
It was a LONG ride home from Mammoth... and we made it even longer by stopping to see a bunch of interesting things along the way!  We first checked out another fish hatchery.  This one was not operational in the winter time like the one in Mammoth was.  It only had fish in the front pond - who were very happy to have a snack of Schat's Bakery bread!  The ducks in the pond were glad to see us too!!!  Next, we stopped in Manzanar.  We took a car tour and then explored the visitor center. Danni and I aren't quite old enough to grasp what happened there, but we understood that it wasn't good!  We also made a stop in Lone Pine to check out where the family cabin used to be.  Mommy showed us the 'Pink Creek' and the bridge that her grandpa and our Papa made.  It looks like it would have been a cool place to play!!  We finally made it home... 9 hours  and two stops at McDonald's later!!  Road Trippin' is fun!!

Mammoth Station House!

Daddy taught me how to light a fire...  kinda... it didn't really get roaring, though!

The loft had a foosball table!  That didn't take quarters!

We liked spying on the grown-ups below!

We see you!
We enjoyed our Mammoth Big Station House!  It had two bedrooms and a loft!  Danni and I staked out the loft -- it had a foosball table and all kinds of board games for us to play!!  We invited Mommy and Daddy upstairs one of the nights for a family loft sleepover -- it was SO fun!!  The Station House also had a balcony -- we thought about throwing pinecones off of it and then thought better of it!  In the evenings, we got to go take a soak in the complex's hot tub... and we made some s'mores in our fireplace!  What a great vacation!!!!

Mammoth Lakes Hike!

The frozen lake was SO pretty!!!

This was an easy tree to climb!

Tree climbers!

A rare sighting of a tree kitty!

She loved posing for pictures!

I liked climbing (and throwing) rocks!

Our hike through the forest was so cool!!!

Can you see us on the bridge?
The hike that we went on in Mammoth was slightly better than the other nature hikes that we have been on because this hike involved snow, ice, and climbing trees and rocks!  We hiked around Lake Mary (which was still pretty frozen!).  I tried to throw rocks to break through the ice on the surface of the lake, but it was pretty darn solid.  Danni and I liked climbing the broken down trees that we found!!  If only all of our hikes could be this pretty!!

Mammoth Mountain Gondola Ride!

We found an elephant with antennas in his mouth.

The slopes were open and hopping!!

Ready for our ride to the peak!

She wanted nothing to do with the ride!

We went super high!!!

I loved the view from the top!!

She didn't like being at the tip top of the mountain!!

The ride down was no better for that poor Beast!
Since we don't ski or snowboard (yet!), we decided to check out the slopes by gondola!  We took the Mammoth Mountain gondola all the way to the top of the mountain and then got out to explore.  Danni hated every second of it (she is not a fan of heights!) The views were incredible and it was fun to watch the daredevil skiers and snowboarders doing crazy stunts on the slopes below.  Did you notice our shoes? We didn't come prepared for snow!!  Luckily, Mammoth had a great thrift shop and we found some shoes to keep our toes warm for the rest of the trip!  :)
