Bad Parents!!!

Playing at the Lego table...

Danni and I built lots of towers...

Danni always has to be the center of attention!  ;)

My parents suck.  They hyped a trip to Disneyland on Good Friday... we got to the gate and discovered that it was a blackout day!!!  Oh no!!!  Luckily, we are little and believed them when they told us that Disneyland and all the rides were closed....  and, we are fairly easygoing so we accepted a trip to the Lego store as a suitable replacement.  Don't let it happen again, Mommy and Daddy... a mistake like this will cost you large dollars in the future!!!  :)

More Construction....

I showed Mama Vee how to use the 'screw-drifer' ...
Uncle Po is brave... he held the nail while I 'hammed' ... I didn't hit him once, though!
Pounderizing with Po!

Danni screeched some encouragement from the cart...

Almost done.....

Po helped me with the base...

I helped Po screw it ....

Po and I made a GREAT butterfly house!

Since my first "construction" project (the baby wagon) was such a success, I decided that I needed to do MORE!  On the first Saturday of every month, Home Depot has a kids' craft day where they provide materials and tools for kids to make a project.  This month's project was a butterfly house!  Uncle Po and Mama Vee met me at Home Depot and helped me make a COOL butterfly house.  I can't wait until next month!!!

Happy Easter!

One of the highlights from the Easter Bunny was a Dora cup with a straw!!

Danni liked stacking her new bowls and lids... and swiping my "sunters" ....
Marshmallow eggies....  MUCH better than the real ones!

The Easter Bunny hid eggs in our backyard!  Some of them had MONEYS inside!!!!

Cheap bunny.... brought a BROGEN eggie!!!

We visited with some friends at the park.  I shared a sunter with Sophia (my Washington girlie) ...  that's pretty serious.
Mommy's old roomie Staci FINALLY got to meet Danni.  (Danni approved!)

I found a tunnel to climb through!

I also found a baseball... had fun rolling it in the tunnel!

Nothing better than playing in the park on a beautiful day!!

Yay for Easter!!!  Danni and I both woke up early ...  minutes after we were up, the doorbell rang and the Easter Bunny hopped off, leaving behind our Easter baskets!!  Cool!!!  We also discovered that he had hidden eggies in our backyard!  After we found all of the eggs, we met Mommy's old roomie and bff, Staci, at the park and celebrated with their family.  (This meant that Mommy and Staci gossiped, and I ran around on the playground with Daddy!)  It was a great Easter!!! :)

Easter Cookies!!!

I have inherited Mommy's LOVE for buttercream icing!  Mmmm.... tastes the best fresh off of the beaters!

  Mixing the frosting colors....

I decorated the cookies VERY carefully...

Finished products... YUM!!

Mommy and I baked her famous sugar cookies for Easter!  I am becoming SO helpful in the kitchen (REALLY!)  I helped mix up the frosting (I am the official mixer-operator!) and I am the chief taste tester!!  I spent all afternoon frosting the cookies and putting sprinkles on them.  Mommy only helped a little bit!!  Easter is a yummy holiday!

Coloring Eggs for the First Time!

Mommy and Daddy set up our egg dyeing station outside....  they know me too well!  :)

Maybe next year, I will master the "drop-the-egg-in-gently" technique...

Or not... I loved it when the eggs splashed in the dye...

The blooooooooo eggie was my favorite!

Danni liked the green one!

She liked the orangey one a little TOOOOO much.... Ooops!!!

She wasn't allowed to help after the dye spilling incident.  She wasn't pleased with this decision.

She kinda got over it... we let her supervise...

I thought that the wire egg holder was a "bubble spoon"  .... I tried to blow some dye bubbles with it... it didn't work out so well...

Concentrating on my art....

 Danni admires the finished product.

Not tooooo bad for my first foray into egg dyeing!

Posing with my creations...

I was blowing on the eggies to make sure they were drying quickly....

Now that the eggs are done, it's time for some chemistry.....  :)

This year, I was finally old enough to understand and enjoy Easter Egg coloring!  :)  My parents set my little table up outside and I went to work dyeing my Easter Eggs!  I did a REALLY good job ... and the only casualties were the orangey-yellow dye that Danni knocked over, a half dozen eggs that were not quite toddler proof, and one Quicksilver tee (I hated the apron) ...  I can't wait until next Easter!!!  :)

Pre-Easter Egg Hunt!

  Not loving the wind...

Danni isn't a big fan of nature - or bad hair, so she didn't care for the wind either...

 Ready for the hunt!!!
If I have two buckets, I get twice as many eggies, right?
FINALLY get to run and grab eggies!!
Taking a break to pick Daddy's pocket!
Danni was too little to join in on the action, so she and Daddy just watched...
  Grabbing eggs for Danni first...

She wasn't quite sure what to do with them....

She was blown away by all the eggs I found for her!

After the egg hunt, I celebrated with a giant Easter cookie!  YUM!!

This eggie tasted MUCH better than those plastic ones!  :)

To get us warmed up for the Easter festivities, one of the local churches hosts an Easter Egg Hunt the week before Easter.   It is always a great day... they have games and food booths, a jumper, and an Easter bunny.  This year, the celebration happened to fall on a SUPER windy day.  Us little people don't like strong winds, because we nearly get knocked over!  I stuck around for the egg hunt, but then wanted to get out of the wind.  I was MUCH better at egg hunting this year!!!  :)
