As a big, bad 4th grader, I got my first opportunity to complete a science fair project.  I made a homemade hovercraft (out of a CD, a balloon, and a water bottle top) and I experimented to figure out how far it would travel on different surfaces.  I did all of the research and data collection myself!  Mommy and Daddy helped to print the stuff out and they helped me with my board.  It was A LOT of work for all of us... but it paid off...  I ended up winning 2nd place in our school district's science fair!  Yay!!!  Science rules!
