Sea World Overnight Adventure

Ready to watch one of the last Shamu shows ever!

It's dinner time for the stingrays!

They got to sleep right in front of the aquarium with the giant sea turtles!

Friends... only separated by a piece of glass!

All tucked in for the night!

Pretty cool to wake up to this guy's face!

Seal breakfast of champions!

The cleaner fish had breakfast too.... Danni didn't shower the night before!

The beautiful Beluga whale!

She loves the penny squisher almost as much as I do!

Night walk through the park....

The flamingos were up early!

Seal feeding.

She didn't want to try a nibble!

Lucky seals!!

They got to pick out stuffed animals!

Climbing on the play structure!
Danni sold SO many cookies last year that her old girl scout troop was able to afford an overnight trip to Sea World.  Since she helped fund the event (and because so many of her former friends were still in the troop), Danni (and Mommy!) got to go along with them.  It sounded like a super fun event!  The night started with a screening of the Christmas Shamu show.  It was one of the last performances ...  the killer whales are now only shown in educational shows... they do not do tricks like Danni got to see in this show!  After that, the girl scouts got to go visit different exhibits at night.  They watched the dolphins swim in their lagoon, they got to feed and pet the stingrays, and they played games in the empty park.  What fun!!  Then everyone got ready for bed.  Danni's troop stayed in the Turtle Reef, so their sleeping area was right up against the floor-to-ceiling aquariums that contained giant sea turtles and tons of their brightly colored fishy friends.  It was a great night... except that Mommy and Danni had to walk FAR in the rain to use the bathroom in the middle of the night!  The next morning the fun continued with breakfast and a chance to feed the seals!  After that, Mommy and Danni got to spend the day at Sea World.  What a great adventure for both of them!!
