Fall Festival!!

Ready to rock the Ring Toss!

I saw one of my 8th grade besties!!

She had great aim at the Football Toss!

Hmmm... somehow my bowling ball was airborne!

Hers too...

Picking a winner!

Danni and one of her 1st grade besties!

Guess who won the cake walk?!

She loved her rainbow face paint!
Every year, our school hosts a super fun Fall Festival.  It is a great warm-up for Halloween!  We got to play all kinds of games, and we earned yummy prizes (candy and cupcakes!!)  All of our friends were there and we really enjoyed spending a few hours playing games, eating treats, jumping on the bouncers, and getting our faces painted with them!!  It got us into the Halloween holiday spirit!!!

Fishin' for Fun at the LB Aquarium

Thankfully, this lifeguard wasn't hungry when we said hi!

I made a lorikeet friend!

Checking out a tidepool...

The fish liked Danni!

Smiling at the stingrays in the touch pond...

Watch out, Danni!

Taking a rest in a very comfortable tunnel chair!

Sister abuse!

Another cool place to relax!

Mommy and Danni love the Jellies!

They are the coolest!  (But I don't want to swim with them anytime soon!!)
Mommy ran the Long Beach Half Marathon and we tagged along... after she was done, we got to go visit the Long Beach Aquarium!  I LOVE to visit the Lorikeets -- they are always happy to see me and sometimes land in my hair and dance all crazy! Danni loves the Jelly Fish exhibit.  Even though it was crowded, we got to see all of our favorite animals, and we got to enjoy the cooler climate at the beach... it was a HOT day in the 951.  It was nice to escape the heat for a little while, and to enjoy the cooler temps in the meantime!

Food Truck Fun at Mommy's School

She had a great time playing in the Kids' Fun Zone!

Ready to swing across the Obstacle Course on the rope swing!

Riding a giant inflatable pony in a race... I won, but she came close!

I may or may not have cheated a little bit!

Three hot and sweaty amigos!

Mini golfing!

Silly sliding!
Mommy's school hosted their annual Food Truck event and we were so excited to get to attend... and we were so well-behaved, we got to stay the entire time!!  We played the evening away in the Kids' Fun Zone -- they had all kinds of giant inflatable bouncers and games, and Danni and I ran ourselves ragged enjoying them!!  We weren't really interested in the Food Truck food (go figure!) but we sure had a blast playing ...  can't wait until next year!!!

Team Stephanie Walk 2015

Danni and I were bothered that the walkers and runners weren't going to receive medals, so we made some... we painted wooden cutouts with teal glitter paint, then we wrote inspirational messages on the back, and we tied ribbons on them!

Danni's medals were heart shaped... and she only would give them to girls.  (She shared donuts with the girls as well!!)

Our favorite walker, Papa!!

The whole crew!!

Danni showed Papa the route!

Checking out the Jeep with Papa!

It was a hot day, so I filled up the kiddie pool... just in case anyone needed to take a dip!

I was tempted to spray her... but I behaved!

A great way to cool off!!

We painted bird houses later in the afternoon... and a few rocks too.

I stood really still hoping for some birds to move in....

Danni loves the cranes!

Refueling with some (sugar-free!) Slurpees after a hot day!

We celebrated our cousin Stephanie's life with our annual Team Stephanie walk.  This year, we walked near Papa's house in Ventura, then enjoyed a luncheon at the Santa Paula house will all of the participants.  Danni and I were in charge of keeping all of the kids entertained.  We filled up a kiddie pool for cooling off, and we helped everyone do a painting project in the afternoon.  We enjoyed catching up with our family, and helping to raise awareness for Small Cell Ovarian Cancer.  (www.smallcellovarian.org) We love you, Stephanie!

Superstar Students!!

Award Assembly kissy face!

Can you spot me??

So proud of my Star Sister!

What a GREAT end to the first month of school... Danni and I were BOTH recognized as amazing students!!!  I got an award for outstanding achievement in all areas in third grade!  And, Danni was selected as a first grade Star Student!! And, as if being recognized as awesome kids in front of the school wasn't enough, our awards included FOOD too!  I got a certificate for a free meal at The Habit and Danni got a certificate for a free meal at BJ's!!!  We got to go out to dinner twice to celebrate our accomplishments!!!  Working hard sure pays off!  Our minds, and our bellies are full!!!

Bowling Over With Fun!!

Having a (bowling) ball!

I found a sweet orange ball!

She had a slow roll... but she managed to get some strikes!

Approaching the lane....

We LOVE to bowl... even though we take after our Mommy in our skills!  ;)  Thankfully, we had the bumpers up on our lane, so there weren't a whole lot of gutter balls...  But, we did have to call the maintenance guy over to our lane a few times because there were 2 or 3 balls that somehow went down the alley on the same turn.  Hmmm... I don't know how that happened!!  ;)  With each game our skills improved... but I don't think that there will be any bowling scholarships in our future!

Cutest Cheer Squad!!

The smiles got a little smaller as the hours went on...

Sleep clapping....

Tired girls.  They said that this sign was 'mean'... "Because we really aren't giving out cookies when they finish running!"

Sleep smiling!
Danni's Daisy troop had the opportunity to cheer for the runners at the Disneyland Half Marathon!  Mommy usually runs this race, but took a break so that she could join Danni on the motivational side!!  It was a lot of fun... the girls had to get up in the 'dark morning' (before the sun comes up... in this case 4:30 a.m.!)  And, they cheered on the runners as they passed through Angel stadium.  As a reward for their cheerfulness, the girls received Disneyland Park Hopper tickets!  I just hope Danni will take me along when she goes!!

Flipping Fantastic Gymnasts!

Proud little gymnasts!
Danni received her 3 year trophy ... and excellent marks for all of her skills!

I got my 1 year trophy and props for learning sooo much!!
Danni and I both do gymnastics!!  We were honored at a special ceremony at our gym where we received our trophies for all of our hard work!  I got a one year trophy and, my coach talked about how hard I try to do all of the skills in the class.  (My class has ALL the boys... at all levels, so there are even high school boys in there!)  I have come so far in my first year!  I can now do a cartwheel and I almost have my handstand hold down!!!  Danni has been at it for 3 years, so her trophy was a little bigger than mine.  And, you'd better believe that she didn't let me forget it!  ;)
