Hoppy Easter!

She wasn't too sure about taking pictures!

This is the best Mommy could manage!  :)
We took our annual pictures with the Easter Bunny!  Here are a few shots that Mommy snapped before we visited the pro!  ;)
Here's our first Easter pic EVER where one of us isn't crying or scowling or beast facing... :)

Danni's Easter Party!

All decked out in her Easter party dress!

Danni and her classmates did an Easter performance for the parents...

And then they enjoyed some Easter treats!  Danni tried a hard boiled egg for the first time... and liked it!!

Getting their bunny boxes ready for the eggie hunt!

She was quick as a bunny at finding eggies!! (But she would only pick up the pink and purple ones!)

Making a bunny face!

Hoppy Easter!!
Sometimes I really miss being in preschool ...  especially for days like this!  Danni's class got to celebrate Easter with a cool party!  (We don't get an Easter party in first grade!)  Her class got to enjoy yummy treats and they got to do an egg hunt outside!  I wasn't toooo upset about all of the fun that she got to have because she did share her treats with me when she got home!  :)  She's a lucky little bunny!!!

Abby's Frozen Party!

She liked this 'rainbow climber!'

Squinty little monkey!

Elsa came to the party too and danced with everyone!

Who knew that Elsa was so talented at facepainting?!

Danni loved hanging with a princess!

The cake was beautiful... and delicious!

Danni whacked the pinata good!

She scored lots of loot!!
Danni's friend Abigail had a super cool 'Frozen' party for her 5th birthday!  I will have to admit that, for a girl party, it looked pretty fun!  Danni was so surprised when Elsa stopped by to play games, do magic tricks, sing, dance, and paint faces at the party!!  She loved playing with her preschool friends and eating all of the yummy treats at the party!  What a great way to celebrate Abby's 5th!!

Bird Feeder Builders

Hammering away!

Don't hit me, Danni!

Bird feeders complete!
This month's Home Depot project was a bird feeder!  (To commemorate the opening of Rio 2!)  We met up with Autumn-Baby for some construction fun and breakfast afterward!!  We sure are talented builders!

Open House at Zachary's School

I let Danni sit with me at my desk!

Proud of all of my work!

She found my paragraph!

Posing with more of my artwork!  :)
Right after Danni's school's Open House was mine!  My family visited and was impressed by all of my amazing work!  I showed them all of my writing and artwork... Danni's favorite was my name plate -- it was in braille!  (We made Braille dots with beans!)  First grade is a lot of work - but it is just as much fun!!!

Go Angels!!

Enjoying some pre-game entertainment...  well, at least Gracie and I were!

It was hat night!!  :)

I doubled up!

She wasn't into the game... but she WAS into the treats!!!
Danni and I went to our first pro baseball game!  We met Gracie and her family at Angel Stadium for a tail gate party.  (It rained on us too... but just for about 15 minutes!)  :)  Danni and I weren't really fans of the game but we LOVED being there.  We got free baseball hats and got to sample all kinds of baseball game treats!!!  I enjoyed all of the loud music ... I also liked it when people hit beach balls in the stands!!  :)  Take me back to the ball game!!!  :)

Pottery Painters!

Armed with a rainbow of colors!

Ready to get creative!!

My favorite color!!

Danni busted out the stencils...

Daddy helped me get my stencils just perfect!
Danni and I spent an afternoon getting artsy at the Ceramic Cupboard.  We made presents for Mama Vee and Papa!  I painted Papa a coffee mug and Danni made Mama Vee a ceramic butterfly!  We learned that we had to do 3 or 4 coats of glaze paint to make our projects bright and colorful!  We also got to see the big oven that the ceramic place uses to bake our projects called a kiln!  It gets super hot - so hot that projects sometimes will break inside it.  My only complaint was that we had to wait a whole WEEK before we could see our finished product!  Mommy didn't take a picture, but they turned out fantastic -- and Mama Vee and Papa LOVED our handiwork!

Open House at Danni's School

Danni was so proud of the surf board that she decorated!

Danni and Miss Estela (she was MY preschool teacher too!)

Danni's jelly fish ... pink, of course!

We pretended we were at a luau!

Pineapple kisses!

Danni and Miss Yolanda.
Danni took us to her school's Open House night to show off all of the hard work she has been doing this year!  The class was decorated with a Hawaiian theme, and all of the crafts that Danni has made for the past few months coordinated with the theme!  She loved showing us her classroom - and she even brought Grandma along with us too!!  I was so proud of my smart little sister!!  :)

Horsin' Around at Santa Anita!

We were almost the first ones at the race track!

We explored and found lots of pretty flowers... and fire hydrants.

Danni found a comfy place to rest...

Danni got her face painted!

A pretty painted lady!

I won lots of prizes playing their carnival games!

These ponies didn't go very fast!

We liked watching the 'horsie parade' right before the start of the race!

Watching the horsies get ready to run!
Danni and I have never been to the horse races before!!  We enjoyed all of the fun things there were to see and do at Santa Anita Race Track...  and that was without even placing a bet on the horses!  We got there early and explored a little bit!  I especially liked all of the pretty lawns, flowers, and fountains!  We got to meet a movie star -- the horsie from 'Sea Biscuit' ... and we got to play in the kids' area in the infield!  There was a playground, pony rides, bouncers, and carnival games for us to enjoy there!  All of that before the races even began!  :)  Danni and I had fun watching the horses race -- we tried to pick winners by the color they were wearing.  None of the pink or blue horses had any luck that day...  :(  We finished up the day with a nice picnic lunch!  We can't wait to go back!
