San Diego Getaway!

Excited to have my own bed (and to room with Danni!)

I LOVE vacation!

Danni liked relaxing on the back patio!!

Running through the grass outside our villa!

We were excited to find that we had our own 'lake' (also known as a water hazard...)

Storytime with Daddy and the princess babies!

Crashed out in my own bed!

Danni loved her 'mest' on the floor...

We hit the pool every day!

This is definitely the life!

Danni agrees!!

She loved splashing in the wading pool... only 1 foot deep!

Daddy took her for a float in the big pool too!

Instead of a cupcake at our favorite SD bakery, we devoured a cake.  The workers there were kinda horrified that we didn't slice it and serve it on plates.  It's vacation!! :)

STILL love the water park!

So does Danni!

LOVED the water slide!!

'I'm Ariel!'

Throwing bread crusts to the fish in our lake!

She was excited to feed the ducks!

Throwing rocks...

Fish #1!!

Fish #2 (Danni was excited too!)

So proud of my catch!  We threw him back...

We loved craft time.  Danni made a bracelet...

I made a bookmark with my name on it!!

Our villa had a hose...  that meant it was water balloon time!!

I love water balloons!!

Mama Vee came to visit us!

We made delicious ice cream sundaes!

It was an interesting game of air hockey.  We each like to put the puck through our own goal just to hear it crash down...
Daddy, Mommy, Danni, and I snuck away for a little getaway to San Diego!  We stayed at our favorite resort and scored a villa right on the golf course near a little 'lake'  (the water hazard) ...  Danni and I got our very own bedroom and besides a few giggles after lights out, we were really well-behaved!  We did a lot of activites on property ... we made crafts, went fishing, went swimming, visited the water parks, took long walks, and fed the ducks!  We also took a few day trips.  Even though we stayed 6 nights, it still felt like our trip was too short.  I'm ready to go again!!!  :)

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Sharing a soda with Mama Vee at brunch!

With Mommy and Mama Vee...

Trying out Mommy's new 'water drinker' ...
For Mother's Day, Daddy, Danni, and I took Mommy and Mama Vee to our favorite Mexican Restaurant for a delicious champagne brunch!  Danni and I were even well-behaved!!!  :)   After brunch, we relaxed for the rest of the day at home...  Mommy got to take a nap AND go on a run (with her new 'water drinker' backpack that she loves!)  Daddy made steak for dinner, and we had lots of cuddle time.  She said it was a perfect Mother's Day!!

Mother's Day Treats!!

The frosting just happened to match my shirt!

Double decorators!

She was pretty pleased with her creation!

Guess whose grandma is a frosting fan?!
Danni and I stopped by our grocery store to decorate some yummy cakes for Mother's Day!  Danni's was for Mommy, so it was slathered with tons of pink frosting!  I made mine for Mama Vee.  First I made a Z out of frosting on top - but it still looked pretty blank, so I topped it off with a couple of mountains of frosting.  Needless to say, the mommies LOVED our creations!  :)

Train Days! :)

Climbing on an old locomotive!

All aboard!!

I got to ring the train bell from inside the locomotive!

You don't need a train whistle when you've got a sister...

Tons of people brought their model trains and set them up for us to watch...

We got to climb aboard a super old fire engine... with a super young dalmation named Dottie.  :)

We took a train ride with Daddy.

I loved the little train!!  :)

Say CUPCAKES!!

She loved the frosting!

We made bird feeders out of pine cones, peanut butter, and bird seed.  I'm not quite sure what that had to do with trains, but it was cool!

Danni was very careful with her peanut butter...

Dipping the peanut buttered pine cone into the bird seed...

I waited a few minutes for the birds to come have a snack, but none showed up!

Danni got her face painted...

My life of crime ended before it began... fingerprints are now on file...

My fingerprint card!
Fullerton hosted a super cool event called "Train Days" that turned out to be extremely kid friendly and FUN!  Danni and I got to do SO many cool things!!  We especially liked checking out all of the model trains that people brought.... there were trains (and little cities!) of all different sizes... it was cool to follow the trains down the tracks!  We are already looking forward to next year's event!!  :)

Raiding the Renaissance Faire!

With Daddy's friends at the Renaissance Faire

Mommy's handsome knight and beautiful princess!  :)

She chose a princess wand...

A jester gave Danni a bell necklace.  She was skeptical...

Super excited that the Renn Faire had an air bouncer!

Flying high!!

I giggled the whole time!

This knight really did have shining armor!  (And a SUPER heavy sword!)

The poor knight had to get back up on his feet after this picture!

Danni and I learned to do laundry the hard way.

'I'm Apunzel in my castle!'  :)

Hiding from a dragon!  :)
What a great opportunity to get one more use out of our Halloween costumes -- a trip to the Renaissance Faire!!!  We took a family outing to the Faire and enjoyed interacting with all of the characters we found there!!  I met a REAL knight who was wearing a real suit of armor!  After that, I wanted to hunt for a real sword just like his.... maybe when I get older!!  :)
