Easter Fun! (and Eggie Hunt version 4.0!)

Our grocery store had TONS of activities for kids to celebrate Easter!!  We did crafts, then went on the eggie hunt in the frozen food section.  Before we left, we visited with the Easter Buuny!  (This was our only visit with him, by the way.  When Mommy took us to the mall to see him, his handler sent us away because it was his break time!  Boo!)  We were glad to be able to give him some love before his big day!!

I love school -- especially when it's a party day!!  We celebrated Easter at preschool with another fabulous party (and another eggie hunt!)  It was so fun to run around on the grass and to grab all of the eggies!  Once we got back inside, we got to enjoy all sorts of treats!!  Holidays are fun to celebrate with friends!!!

While Papa and Daddy were out loading the car to come home, Papa saw the Easter Bunny who was in Ventura on a practice run!  Before he hopped away, he hid a bunch of eggies for Danni and I on the green belt behind Papa's house!  We had a blast running all over and finding all of the eggies!  They had money, candy, and POPPERS inside!  I had so much fun blowing them up!!  Danni and I have had an amazing Easter... and it's not even here yet!!!  We are lucky kids!!

We stayed the night at Papa's house!  It was the first time that Danni slept over and didn't sleep in the crib - she's such a big girl!!  In fact, Mommy, Daddy, Danni, and I all slept in the same room...  and we actually all slept!  :)  Of course, we were all tired after all of the fun we had with Papa.  We went out to dinner to celebrate Papa, Lynn, and Daddy's birthdays, then we came home to a yummy ice cream cake, fun in the tub, and stories!  We can't wait for our next trip!!!  :)

It's Spring Break, and Papa just retired, so we took a little weekday trip to Ventura to visit!  We brought along all of our egg dyeing gear and helped Papa get into the Easter spirit.  Danni and I had a great time making all of our eggies beautiful.... and we only managed to dump a few colors onto Papa's patio (amazingly, the color disappeared when they dried!)

We made Easter Bunny picture frames!  Everything had sticky tape on the back - no glue!!  Amazing!

Each year, a church in our community hosts the BEST Easter event ever!  :)  This year, I was a little bummed because I outgrew the little kid egg hunt (where there was ZERO competition for eggies) and had to compete with the quicker big kids (ages 4-7) ...  Danni nearly overflowed her bucket (she was with the 0-3 year olds) ... of course, I wanted things to be fair, so I 'evened out' our eggie haul by sneaking a few of her eggs in to my bucket.  :)  We also made some awesome magnetic picture frames, got tattoos, and played a bunch of games!  It was a great way to kick off Easter week!!!
