Halloween Parade II

One of the great things about visiting Ventura for Halloween is the fabuolous parade that Auntie Lynn's neighborhood puts on.  All of the kids on her street line up and parade to the end of the street ...  then the houses are all open for trick-or-treating.  The best part?  This all happens while it is still light outside.  Great for me (since I am not toooo fond of the dark) ... and for Mommy and Daddy (my bedtime stays intact!).  Danni was too little to walk in the parade last year, so she was excited to do the route on her own!  We also were brave and hit a couple of houses for tricks and treats!  (Last year, I was way happier handing candy out to the kids!)   I got a couple of sunters and was ready to call it a night!  :)  I love Halloween!!

Papa's House

It has been WAY too long since I invaded Papa's house!  We have made it a little tradition to pay him a visit around Halloween time... so we headed to Ventura to enjoy some fun!  I had a blast 'helping' Papa...  I got to use the rake and play in his sink.... but the highlight of the trip was using his 'blower beh beh' to blow the leaves off of his patio!!  I now want a Stinky Truck AND a blower beh beh for Christmas!!!   While we were there, we also decorated pumpkins and got ready for some Halloween fun!  I can't wait to go back to Papa's house!  (Especially if there are leaves to be blown!!)

Halloween Parade I

Halloween and Mama Vee ... two of my favorites!!!  Imagine my excitement when I got to combine the two!  Mama Vee invited Danni and I to come to her school's Halloween parade.  I got to march around the playground with Mama Vee and her class.  It was FUN!  Afterward, I hung out in third grade with her students and enjoyed some Halloween treats!!  What a fun way to kick off the Halloween weekend!

Halloween Pix

I STILL don't quite understand the concept of Halloween costumes.  When Mommy asked me what I wanted to be for Halloween this year I said, "I want to be Zashi!"   Soooo... she chose my costume again.  I was a skunk.  I hated the skunk hat, but wore it begrudgingly after being bribed with sunters ... and the promise of being able to 'flash' the picture man's camera.  Danni was a love bug.  She hated her wings and let everyone know it.  Here are a few of the decent shots we were able to get.  Not our best work, by any means!  :P

Fall Farm Fun!!!

Even though the weather was HOT, we still enjoyed some pre-Halloween Fall Fun!!  We spent a nice morning at a local farm, admiring and loving the animals ... and hunting pumpkins.  Although, if you ask me what my favorite farm animal is, I will say "a kitty!"  Danni and I found 2 lovable farm kitties who let us love them up.  Mommy and Daddy wouldn't let us take them home, though!!  :(
