Legoland with Gracie!!

Starting the day with a hello kiss from Gracie!
Danni was ready to explore!
I LOVED the lines at Legoland... the parents wait... and the have a play area stocked with Legos for kids to pass the time!!
Crazy Lego playas!
Intent on building the "Tall Tall Tower"
Cruisin' through the Lego jungle in my sweet Zebra Jeep...
I'm a very good drifer!
Danni was too little to go on the ride, so she and Daddy had to watch from the sidelines.
Spraying a water cannon!!
Gracie and Danni saw some cute boys...
I stepped in to scare them away...
I took Daddy up in my copter!
We went high, high in the sky!!
I got to drife a Lego race car all by myself!
It took some concentration to step on the gas AND steer at the same time!
Drifing is FUN!
Strollin' with Gracie...
Danni found a Lego tub just her size!
We changed into our swimmers to play in the water park!
Hurry UP, Mommy!!!
Drenchsterized by the giant bucket!!
Daddy found a 'bird bath' that was just perfect for containing Danni!
She had fun splashing too!
We got dressed and I got to drife an airplane!!
Daddy wasn't scared at all!
Gracie became a princess at some point in the afternoon...
Danni can't hang without a nap!
She crashed out in her stroller for a loooong nap...
I got to go down the big bumpy slide twice!
Daddy was more scared than I was!

Yay for VACATION!  We went to San Diego for a week and got to do all KINDS of fun things!  To kick off our trip, we visited Legoland!!!  Gracie and her parents also came along for the fun.  We had the best day.  The weather was perfect, the park was virtually empty, and everyone was on their best behavior!  I got to fly planes and helicopters, drive cars, build towers, splash, snack, and run!  (All of it with my girlfriend!)   Perfection!!!

Brrrrr... in Balboa!

Checking out the oh-chin from the pier....
Danni wouldn't hold my hand.  I didn't want her to fall in the water.
Strollin' on the pier with my sister!
I got a sprinkled ice cream cone... but I wouldn't show it to Mommy!
The highlight of the trip was watching the crows eat crumbs in the street...
Danni thought they were SUPER funny... she has much to learn!
We played at the beach park.  I didn't care for it because it included sand!
Climbing up into the fog!
HI DOWN THERE!!!
Danni liked the beach!

We headed down to Balboa Island for some beachy fun!  I got to ride on a ferry boat for the first time (but I was too scared to get out of my car seat... or the car... and the pictures aren't pretty.  It's pretty unnatural for a car to float in the ocean, right?!  So my fear isn't totally unreasonable!)  My parents had planned to rent bikes and ride around the island.  But the bike shop was closed.  They had also planned for the weather to be a little warmer.  But it was FREEZING.  So... we ended up walking the pier ... then had breakfast in a place with super sloooooow service (Danni and I aren't the most patient of customers!) ...  then we had ice cream.  The highlight of the trip was watching a flock of crows eat crumbs in the street.  :)  My parents are entitled to a 'miss' once in awhile, I suppose!!

Perfect Park Days!!

Danni can climb up the stairs all by herself!
LOVED the big green curly slide!
Wheeeee!!
Parks make me HAPPY!!
Handsome park smiler...
Sweet sister smiler...
Danni makes Mommy nervous...
She tried to fit her head through the bars...
Thankfully the heat wave has passed, and Mother Nature has been sending us gorgeous days that are just meant to be spent outdoors!  We answered the call and spent a few afternoons playing in parks all over town!  This park was not my favorite because it had sand.  I HATE SAND.  (This is why I am rockin' the unsexy look of Crocs +Socks....  it is for protection only...)  Danni and I ran ourselves silly!!!  :)

Bowlerizing!!!

Guess who helped me pick my ball??
I picked the green one!
Here comes a STRIKE!!!
Danni tried to bowl too....
She mainly wanted to sit and stick things in the ball's finger holes...

I wasn't too fond of the shoes...
I could lift the ball up onto the 'dinosaur' all by myself.  (And no one lost a toe in the process!)
Daddy taught me that if you got down low and yelled at the ball, it would knock over more pins...
All that work and I hit ONE?!
My interest in bowling was overshadowed by my interest in the snack bar....  and the arcade...
My assistant and I played Skee Ball...
The lanes for Skee Ball aren't as slippery as they are for bowling!
Danni wanted to take a ball home with her.  :)

Danni and I have never bowled before... so Mommy and Daddy thought it would be fun to try it!  And it was... for about 20 minutes!  I had a great time running around the bowling alley and selecting a ball (I picked hot pink... with some assistance from Mommy!)  I loved rolling the ball down the 'dinosaur' (that's what they call the rack/ramp thingie that helps kids get the ball down the alley... we tried rolling it granny style and it barely made it to the pins!)  With the bumpers up, I didn't do too bad!  (I actually beat Mommy -- but that's not saying much!)  After awhile, the lure of the arcade and snack bar called me... so we finished up our outing with some fun there!!!

Highlights from Mama Vee's

Danni and I have our own sets of wheels at Mama Vee's!

She loves to drife!
We decorated Mama Vee's patio with chalk.  Danni tried to erase it!
Back yard FUN!!!

We always love to head over to Mama Vee's for playdates!!  She spoils us rotten with treats, toys, and LOVE!  :)
