LBC

Hamming the nails on my periscope...

"I like the BIG hammer!!"

Verrry carefully placing the nails in the holes...

My favorite part... PAINTING!!

There's still a little bit of paint left in the can.... better slap it on my periscope!

Hard at work...

Danni tried to put Grandma's shoes on...

Danni Croc-hands and I made Grandpa's hospital bed go up and down and up and down... luckily he wasn't in it...

We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Long Beach.  I didn't want to miss this month's building project at Home Depot, so Mommy and I headed over to the Lakewood HD to build a periscope.  (I know this word and I know that a periscope is a "looker thing" .. but the one that I made doesn't work tooooo well... oh well!)  Anyways, I really loved this Home Depot because they had a whole painting area set up for the kids... after our projects were done, we were able to paint them... and paint them and paint them....  My periscope was dripping with paint when I was done!  :)  Grandma and Grandpa really liked it!  We had a nice visit with them... the highlight was pushing all of the buttons on Grandpa's hospital bed.  He didn't mind... as long as he wasn't laying in it!

Vegas Vacay!!

Woohoo!!  Mommy is off track in July!  This means that we get to do even MORE fun stuff than usual!  We kicked off her vacation with a trip to Vegas!!  We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom "big station house"  (or vacation house for those of you that don't speak Zashi...) ...  I had a blast visiting the Children's Museum, bouncing, eating at buffets, and swimming.  Mommy and Daddy even let me skip some naps!!  Vacations RULE!

We loved the jacuzzi tub.... and the big station house kitchen's nesting bowls made great helmets/water toys!

I brought my Dora bed.  And it fit perfectly in my "bedroom" ... there was a cool little table right by my head... shaped just like a toilet!  (Mommy and Daddy had NO KIDS in their room!!)

I loved playing with the water table at the Children's Museum!   I found a water wheel that was just my size!

Rerouting the water... most of it to the floor....

An instrument that Mommy and Daddy hope I NEVER pick up....

Danni found a box full of delicious snacks...

Mesmerized ....

It was 109 degrees and Danni was ready for a swim!

We laid out a little bit first...  although it didn't do much good because Mommy doused us in spf 90.  (Yes, they really sell that!!)

The water was coooooold!!!

Pole dancer...

Brrrrrr....

After the initial shock, it felt GREAT!

Danni and Daddy liked chilling out in the water too!

Walking to the "Water Ball" fountain...

Danni loves swimming!

I talked some pretty girls into loaning me their raft.  I had to give it back after I decked Mommy with it...

We went to M&M World....  this is the suckiest job to have when it is 110 degrees out!

Danni did NOT like the heat...

Daddy and I played an 8 dollar game of Dance-Dance Revolution.  (I got a little swipe happy with the card at Gameworks...)

My feet reach the pedals!  Woohoo!!!

Now all I have to do is grow a little bit so I can see over the steering wheel!

Enjoying the view from our big station house window....

Danni cultivated a love for cinnamon rolls at the buffet....

I ate pancakes and chow mein noodles for breakfast.  With ketchup of course.  Only in Vegas!

We found a bounce place... with a HUGE slide....

It had a fabulous obstacle course too!

Mommy got a bouncer kiss!

Danni had fun bouncing too... even though she hated her socks!

Blogger won't let Mommy flip this picture...  Danni and I wanted to get in the fountain at Cesar's... there were lots of moneys in there...

Yeah... whoever thought the Conservatory at the Bellagio was a great destination for kids was sorely mistaken...  Zzzz....  (It was pretty, though!)

I liked the butterflies!

Yummmmmy cookie break during our shopping trip....

Danni loved racing cars at our hotel's arcade...

Monster Truck Builder

"First you have to poke the little nails inside the little holes!"  I am definitely getting the hang of building!!

Two handed hamming...

Danni is getting better at hamming...

Danni didn't want to relinquish the wheel OR the hammer...

Concentrating on hamming....  I didn't hit mommy or daddy's fingers in the process!

Drifing my monster truck...

I LOVE to build!  (Just like my Papa Don used to!)  Sooo, Mommy and Daddy found more opportunities for me to get my ham on ...  Lowe's has a kids' craft circuit as well!  They do their classes about every 3 weeks, and on this particular Saturday, we built monster trucks.  ('What IS a monster truck?' you ask... "it's a truck for little monsters") ...  This project was a lot more involved than the Home Depot ones ... with about 12 different pieces and 20 nails to ham in.  Mommy and Daddy actually had to read me the directions this time.  Lowe's also had kid sized hammers... Danni appreciated this, because they were just the right size to fit in her mouth... but hamming with a smaller hammer made 'aiming' it a little harder.  (Mommy and Daddy's fingers still survived!)  :)

Happy Daddy's Day!

I got FOUR neck-el-asses ....  Mommy, Daddy, and Danni got none.

Danni decided that she deserved one...  OUCH!

We kissed and made up later!

Mommy and I LOVE chocolate cake!!

Daddy loves it when I take his picture!

After brunch, we opened presents.  Danni was surprised by all of the cool things that I picked out for Daddy!

Mommy took me shopping in the dollar section at Target.  After circling the aisles a few times, I chose out some straws for Daddy's smoothies, some plates ("because Daddy likes to eat"), some sprinkles for Daddy's cupcakes, and a lighter ("because Daddy likes to make fire")  ... He loved every one of my gifts.

Danni was too little to shop.  So she just gave Daddy some kisses!

We celebrated our amazing Daddy on Father's Day with a fun-filled day!  We took him to brunch at his favorite place, Taps Brewery....  Mommy offered to leave us with a sitter, but Daddy bravely invited us to join him!  We were pretty good (until Danni broke her first plate!!)  ...  After brunch, Daddy wanted to go to the movies, so he and I went to see Toy Story 3 (that was my first movie-theater experience EVER!)  I got a little bored after about an hour, so we had to come home.  After Daddy, Danni, and I took a looooong afternoon nap, we went out for Mexican food for dinner.  Daddy said that he had a nice day!  He deserves to be spoiled all year round because he really is the best daddy that any kids could ever ask for!!!
