Race Car Builder!

Danni liked the hammer!!

She kept banging it on the table while I was trying to build!

Family construction shot...

I thought it was hilarious that the nails would "jump" everytime someone hammed...

Still haven't hammed Mommy's fingers!!

Building is FUN!

Danni was trying to look all sexy for the construction workers.  Daddy and I put a stop to that!

When I was done, my car really rolled!!

Drifing the car on the table!

The car liked drifing in the street better!!  :)

Watch out, Home Depot!  Lowe's ALSO has a building program for kids!!!  (And their aprons are a less obnoxious color!)  This weekend, the Lowe's team was at our Chick-fil-A for a family fun event.  They were teaching kids how to build little wood race cars!  Mommy and I did a lot of hamming ... and ended up with a pretty cool little car that really rolls around!  Danni had fun playing with the hammers while Mommy and I constructed!!  I also signed up to build the next Saturday project... a Monster Truck!!!

Happy Birthday, Danni!!!

 Danni's third first birthday cake!

It's her birthday and she'll fuss if she wants too....  boy, was she in a mood!
She was happier with some brotherly love and fistfuls of watermelon!
She likes fire too...
I had to help her blow out the candle.  I let her keep the wish, though!  :)

She liked opening her presents!

 Happy little destructive birthday princess!!

Danni celebrated her first birthday on June 18th!  Since we had already celebrated with friends at our party last month, we spent the day celebrating with our familia at Disneyland.  Unfortunately, the camera battery was dead  (And so was the spare that Mommy brought along!), so our collection of Disney photos is lacking.  :(  Danni had a great time, though ... she rode on the tea cups (but got mad at Daddy when he got a little out of control with his spinning), Small World, and the Up&Down.  It was a big day for ME because I was tall enough to ride Big Thunder!!!   After The Diz, we met Mama Vee for birthday dinner and (another!) cake at Red Robin.

Danni's 12 month stats:
Height: 28 inches (25th percentile)
Weight: 20 lbs. 12 oz. (50th percentile)

Her new tricks include WALKING, feeding herself, giving kisses (usually with extra slobber), and talking up a storm.  Danni knows about 12 words!  (the developmental requirement for 1 year olds is only two words!)  I have taught her well!!!  :)

Museum Fun with Mama Vee!

Sliding down the 'urly' slide ... wheeeeee!
I called this "crawling on my butt" through the tunnel!!

Enjoying the view from the top!

Mama Vee made me chocolate chip cookies.  I insisted that Mommy take the cookie's picture too.

Danni got her own cookie to gnaw on...

Danni didn't really care for the dirt.... but she wouldn't wear her shoes.  (They didn't go with her dress)

She loved climbing the race car...
And shopping.... of course!
I brought all of my groceries to the register.  Danni threw them at me.  We are a great team!

Window licker...
Alien chewer...

I sang and danced onstage while Danni and Mommy worked in the sound booth...

I tried to swing the mic stand around... but it was bolted to the floor.
Danni loved the SHOES in the costume section...  figures!
 I drove the Space Shuttle!

Danni was afraid of the tunnel.

"Mommy, I'll drive us home on the bus!"  :)

Mama Vee is done with school for the summer, so that means that she is free to play with Danni and me during the week!!  We celebrated her first week of summer with a visit to the La Habra Children's Museum!  We got there a little early (yes, it's true, Mommy DOES arrive early to some places these days!) ... so, I got to play in the park for a little while before heading into the museum.  We were all excited to find that the stinky goat exhibit had closed and in its place was a SPACE exhibit!  (It smelled much nicer!)

Big Girl Seat!!!

ANOTHER back seat driver ...
Danni loves her big girl seat!!!

Danni is officially growing up!  She's big enough now to graduate from her baby pod to a real car seat like mine!!  She LOVES it!  She is so much happier to be facing forward (and to have a better view of ME -- her prime source of entertainment!)

Pool Party @ Gannon's!

Danni beat the heat by sticking her fingers in her juice box....

Danni LOVED the big doggie didi!

Pool time!!!

Brrrrr!!  Danni liked getting wet!!

I was flirting with the bikini girls int he jacuzzi...

I practiced my kickers!!

Everyone says I have a great arm...  I was throwing balls at Daddy... and hitting him!

Danni's a little water baby too!

My buddy Gannon celebrated his third birthday with a pool party!  It was the perfect day for some cool pool action because the temperatures were in the 90's!  I was sooo hot that I kept begging to get in the pool ...  we finally got to splash around after we ate our delicious bbq lunch!!  We swam all afternoon!  Guess which two tired babies went nite-nite without a peep after partying all day?!

World Cup Preparation!

Hamming....

Putting the sticks in the holes....

"I'm screwing the little man..."  (you had to put a screw through the little man to get him to stay on the stick...)

Proud of my mini soccer game!

Danni has a taste for construction too...

She liked watching me build!

Playing soccer....  but it's funny, this perfect choking hazard sized ball disappeared before we got home!

I got to make yet another craft at Home Depot's Kids' Craft Saturday.  The World Cup is coming, so today's craft was a mini soccer game.  It kinda works like a foosball table... but the little dudes are wearing soccer jerseys instead.  I LOVE building and am starting to have quite the collection of wood projects!

Train!!!

 Get back on track!

I love the bridges and tunnels!!

This was my absolute FAVORITE birthday gift!  My new train set!!  It requires great concentration to be a train engineer like I am!   :)  Thanks, Mama Vee!

Hanging with my cousins...

Deep, Aakash, and I enjoyed a donut breakfast!

Danni wanted to be just like us guys and tried climbing up the big yellow slide...

She was all proud of herself for making Mommy climb up the slide to get her...

One of the BEST parts of our birthday was that our cousins came to visit from Northern California.  They stayed the night at my house.  Unfortunately, the camera was "misplaced" during most of their visit so the destruction that we wreaked upon the house was not documented!  ;)  We had so much fun... we played in the yard with the hose, splashed in the hot tub, rode tricycles, played trucks, and ate cake!  I wish they lived closer so we could play more often!!  :)
