This weekend, Mommy and I visited Daddy at UCLA -- he was working at the Festival of Books. I met lots of nice people, got kissed by a police dog named Tommy, and helped Daddy out in the booth (sampling his snacks and inspecting his tool box!) What fun!!!

I don't need toys...

...when there are super-sized beverage cups around!!! My favorite new game is to put random objects (pacifiers, balls, spoons, plastic cookies...) into cups, and then take them out... then put them back in.... The toddler development book says this is a skill that most babies acquire at 14 months, so my parents are very impressed ... Sheesh, if this is all it takes to impress them, they need to get out more! ;)

Dishwasher Diver!

Yay! My parents are thrilled that I am learning to be helpful with household chores! I have developed quite a talent for unloading the dishwasher... onto the floor!!! I think it's about time for me to chat with them about my allowance for being SUCH a good little worker!!

Last week, my parents took me to the beach for the very first time! I REALLY didn't like it! I didn't like the hot sand OR the cold, wet sand. Thankfully, they didn't torture me by making me stand in the waves!! I am a land-lubber for sure!!! I may grow into this whole beach thing... after all, I do have my very own restaurant!!! :)

Uh oh... Could it be that I'm going to adopt Mommy's bad Diet Coke guzzling habit? Not a chance! In fact, I encourage her to drink less of it... I'll steal her bottle and shake it up, so there's no carbonation left.... Healthy for her and fun for me! We all win!!!

Goodies from GPL

Grandpa Larry came to visit me this weekend and brought along some big boy toys for me! He made me a bunch of lengths of PVC pipe and then brought joints and connectors for me to play with. So far, I am REALLY good at taking them apart (and will get better at putting them together!) I am also great at wielding them like light sabers!!! :)

My friend Aiden turned 2 on Saturday! He had a FUN birthday party at Irvine Regional Park. I loved playing on the playground and driving Aiden's big red wagon. What a fun day!!!

While we were vacationing in Palm Springs, I got to play on the resort's playground! I loved it!!! So many bars to bang on, stairs to climb, and nooks and crannies to inspect... Daddy even took me down the slide... I can't wait until I'm old enough to climb the rock wall!!!

Mommy and Daddy needed some time away, so we took a mini-vacation to Palm Springs last week. We rented a really cute casita that had a private pool steps from our patio. I LOVE the water and spent many hours splashing around. (This made my naps LONG!!!)

My Mama Vee celebrated her birthday this weekend... for a treat, she wanted to dress me up and have my picture taken! Fun for both of us!!! Here's my best shot!!

My parents KNEW that this was bound to happen someday... they flirt with disaster every time they take me for a dip in the hot tub sans diaper... Tonight was the night that I decided to christen the hot tub!!! I've never seen my parents move so fast! (And I've never heard Mommy laugh so hard -- Daddy was holding me when this all went down -- AND he got the fun job of cleaning it up!)

The bathroom, as I have mentioned before, is my absolute favorite room of the house! It is especially cool because there is a cool little bathtub in there for me to play in! Mommy and Daddy think it's disgusting... but I think it is FUN!!!

This week, my Auntie Elaine and my Grandma and Grandpa came to visit me!! We had lots of fun reading books and hanging out!!!

All of a sudden, the flowers in our front yard are out of control gorgeous!!! Mommy thought it would be a great idea for me to pose with them... until I tried to climb in the planter and eat them! Luckily, she got a few shots before I got filthy! :)

... at the Renaissance Faire!! I got to attend my very first Renn Faire this weekend - Daddy has a booth at the BIG Faire in Irwindale this year -- it's his first time there too! Mommy and I went to visit and there were SO many things to look at... ladies in low cut dresses, tons of people playing music, sword fights, canons, and lots of weirdos! I was a little surprised to see my daddy in a costume. I cried when I saw him ... but when he took his hat off, I regained my composure! Here are a few pics of me getting grubby in Daddy's booth.

Being an active baby boy is TIRING! Here's me catching some Zzzz's during a morning nap in Mommy's bed (I don't usually sleep with PINK blankets!) Mommy gets to nap with me more often now that she's on vacation! Yay!!!

Mommy took me to Kiddie Kandids today for a spring photoshoot. I was totally loving the photographer (as you can tell from my beaming smiles!). Thanks to Great Ahntee Suz for my adorable outfit (with matching hedgehog!) Mommy is sad that I will soon outgrow it!! :(

My First Haircut!

After months of strangers telling my parents, "Oh SHE'S sooooo beautiful!" They finally decided to get my hair cut! Daddy, Grandpa Larry, Uncle Paul and I all headed down to the local barber shop to get our hair did... Yay! Now I look like a BOY!!!
