My daddy was so excited to celebrate his first birthday as a father (and what a fabulous one he's been!!) Yay!!! Mommy and I got him lots of presents... among them was this new back pack... to replace his well-worn diaper bag. Maybe it could double as a Bjorn too!!

I had fun unloading my Easter basket today! The Easter Bunny brought me socks, bibs, spoons, toys, and all kinds of junk food. I guess he forgave me for crying in his lap yesterday!! :)

Happy Easter!

I had a great first Easter! Mommy and Daddy took me to an Easter Egg Hunt and I got to meet the Easter Bunny himself! Just to clear up what you see in the pictures, I wasn't crying because I was scared of the Easter Bunny... I was mad because I wanted to play in the grass, NOT sit still...

.... I experienced my first boy/boy kiss at Gracie's party! I met a friend, Tristan, who is a loving machine. He loves to hug and kiss anyone and everyone... including me! Awww.... nothing like sweet baby love!!!

My honey from the 951, Gracie, turned one this past weekend! What a fun party she had!!! I met lots of new friends (and even got a cold from one of them!) ... It was exciting to see Gracie dive into her cake and presents... MY turn is coming up soon enough!!!

I REALLY love the baby gates... they are fun to hang onto and to bang on. I spent an entire afternoon screeching about them. I wish that I had been born in time to take a Jeep trip with my late great grandpa Papa Don! Sahib is his Jeep, and I hear that Papa Don took her on many adventures! I got a chance to check Sahib out this weekend... not too shabby... I'll bet she'll still be running when I'M old enough to drive!

Every year, the Holmer family gets together in Ventura for an annual Clam Bake... It's a pretty big event - about 50 of our family friends come together to camp, visit, and to eat good food (although oysters are not on my list of approved solids just yet!). I got to meet several knew people who talked to me last year while I was inside Mommy's big belly! I also got to go on my first jeep ride and I enjoyed my first camp fire as well. What a great weekend! I can't wait until next year!!!

I love exploring in the kitchen! This morning I unloaded all of my mommy's baking pans onto the floor. I've figured out that there is one thing I love more than unloading cupboards.... the NOISE I can make doing it!

I got to hang out with Uncle Paul this weekend! He's super cool ... he crawls around on the floor with me and makes me laugh with his silly faces... My mom thinks I look like Uncle Paul did when he was a baby! Guess the good looks must run in the family!

NINE Months!!!

Z in the Hood

Happy Birthday to me!! I'm nine months old today!! And, what did my parents do for me?? They took me to the DOCTOR!!! Uggg! Although, I can't complain, today's visit was painless... no shots!!! Woohoo!!! Here's the stats... I am 22 pounds 1 ounce -- officially qualifying me for my big boy car seat! (Daddy installed those last week -- perfect timing!)... I'm about 29 inches tall, and I'm in perfect health!!! The doctor was impressed with my strength - I stole her stethoscope and pounded on the scale with it. Way to make an impression, huh?! I also had fun flirting with the nurses.... It was a pretty great birthday after all!!

On the Go!

Since I learned to crawl 2 weeks ago, I am rarin' to go, Go, GO! I'm itching to walk and pull myself up on everything I can get my paws on... I've also discovered the joys of kitchen cabinets! I'm learning the fine art of opening them and unloading them! Now mommy has TWO mess makers in her kitchen!!! :)

I'm a lucky boy! I've got a standing Tuesday night date with Grace (an older woman -- she's 3 months my senior!)... isn't she adorable?! One of the reasons that she loves me is because I'm good with my finances... Tuesday is dollar scoop night at 31 Flavors! Although, since we're too little for scoops just yet, we only indulge on the cones... yum!

Today I met a new friend... Cooper... He's 5 months older than me, so I'm counting on him to teach me all kinds of tricks... especially when it comes to charming the ladies! (He's got it down with his dreamy eyes and adorable dimples!) His mommy, Jessica, and my mommy met in 7th grade -- 20 years ago!! Wonder if WE'LL cause as much trouble together as they did! :)

I LOVE to pound on EVERYTHING... but one of my favorite objects to beat on is my activity table... it's awesome... I pound and it plays music and talks to me!! This keeps me entertained (and smiling!) for hours!!!

Daddy says from him... but after hanging with my GREAT grandpa, Papa Harold, this weekend, I now know the source! :) Here are some pictures of Papa H and I hanging at his house this weekend. I LOVED playing with (and eating) his walker... He was so nice to share with me!!! I love my great grandpa!!

Nothing beats playing at grandma's house!! Mama Vee always has a ton of new toys to entertain me, so I always look forward to visiting her. Daddy says that we're going to need to move to a bigger house if she keeps the toy supply flowing at this rate!!! Mama Vee, I'M not complaining!

Wow! I've learned to do SO many new things this week!!! On Friday, I surprised my parents and showed them that I could sit myself up (from my tummy or my back), pull myself to a standing up position, AND, I crawled!!! Watch out world, I'm ready to explore your every nook and cranny!!!

Here's me, scoping the parking lot... I soon learned that it's hard to pick up any chickies when you're sitting on your mom's lap!! Oh well, for now, she's the main woman in my life.
