Playtime!

As I'm getting older, I am getting more and more into my toys... I'm also into my parents' toys (like phones and remotes!) Anytime that I am awake is playtime! Here are some pictures of me at play! Yay!!!

I got to hang out with Uncle Paul this weekend! He's super cool ... he crawls around on the floor with me and makes me laugh with his silly faces... My mom thinks I look like Uncle Paul did when he was a baby! Guess the good looks must run in the family!

NINE Months!!!

Z in the Hood

Happy Birthday to me!! I'm nine months old today!! And, what did my parents do for me?? They took me to the DOCTOR!!! Uggg! Although, I can't complain, today's visit was painless... no shots!!! Woohoo!!! Here's the stats... I am 22 pounds 1 ounce -- officially qualifying me for my big boy car seat! (Daddy installed those last week -- perfect timing!)... I'm about 29 inches tall, and I'm in perfect health!!! The doctor was impressed with my strength - I stole her stethoscope and pounded on the scale with it. Way to make an impression, huh?! I also had fun flirting with the nurses.... It was a pretty great birthday after all!!

On the Go!

Since I learned to crawl 2 weeks ago, I am rarin' to go, Go, GO! I'm itching to walk and pull myself up on everything I can get my paws on... I've also discovered the joys of kitchen cabinets! I'm learning the fine art of opening them and unloading them! Now mommy has TWO mess makers in her kitchen!!! :)

I'm a lucky boy! I've got a standing Tuesday night date with Grace (an older woman -- she's 3 months my senior!)... isn't she adorable?! One of the reasons that she loves me is because I'm good with my finances... Tuesday is dollar scoop night at 31 Flavors! Although, since we're too little for scoops just yet, we only indulge on the cones... yum!

Today I met a new friend... Cooper... He's 5 months older than me, so I'm counting on him to teach me all kinds of tricks... especially when it comes to charming the ladies! (He's got it down with his dreamy eyes and adorable dimples!) His mommy, Jessica, and my mommy met in 7th grade -- 20 years ago!! Wonder if WE'LL cause as much trouble together as they did! :)

I LOVE to pound on EVERYTHING... but one of my favorite objects to beat on is my activity table... it's awesome... I pound and it plays music and talks to me!! This keeps me entertained (and smiling!) for hours!!!

I've always wondered where I get my good looks and intelligence from... Mommy says it's from her... Daddy says from him... but after hanging with my GREAT grandpa, Papa Harold, this weekend, I now know the source! :) Here are some pictures of Papa H and I hanging at his house this weekend. I LOVED playing with (and eating) his walker... He was so nice to share with me!!! I love my great grandpa!!

Nothing beats playing at grandma's house!! Mama Vee always has a ton of new toys to entertain me, so I always look forward to visiting her. Daddy says that we're going to need to move to a bigger house if she keeps the toy supply flowing at this rate!!! Mama Vee, I'M not complaining!

Wow! I've learned to do SO many new things this week!!! On Friday, I surprised my parents and showed them that I could sit myself up (from my tummy or my back), pull myself to a standing up position, AND, I crawled!!! Watch out world, I'm ready to explore your every nook and cranny!!!

Here's me, scoping the parking lot... I soon learned that it's hard to pick up any chickies when you're sitting on your mom's lap!! Oh well, for now, she's the main woman in my life. I've been having a little bit of separation anxiety -- it makes me sad when I can't see her. Don't worry, ladies, I'll be over it in a few months! :)

I DEFINITELY don't take after Daddy in the hair department! I've grown a ton of gorgeous hair (it is the envy of some of my bald girlfriends who still don't have enough to wear their hair bows!) I wanted to venture away from the little-boy-part-on-the-side look and tried some daring spikes...

Standerizing!!!

Here's one of my newest tricks... standing ... or as we call it - STANDERIZING! I am soooo close to being able to pull myself up ... but once I'm up and hanging on, I'm a great stander. And, this past weekend, I've been "cruising" (walking sideways while hanging onto the couch, coffee table, tub, crib rail...) My parents shudder to think that I'm gonna be mobile soon!! Here are a couple of shots of me standing like a big boy!!

Here's me hanging with part of my feline family... my brother Mojo and my sister Juju. (Wiji was off getting into mischief so I stole his bed!) I have no idea why my parents insist on me sleeping in a crib! This bed is sooooo comfy and just the right size!!

I HATE having my face washed (as any self-respecting BOY should!)... unless I can sink all SEVEN of my teeth into the wash cloth! YUM! This is one way to get the fiber into my diet!!!

Since I'm topping out on all of the doc's height charts, my parents figured that I might be money on the b-ball courts... it's never too early to work on the skeeeels. Well, maybe... dribbling to me still involves slobber...

Tools Rule!

Today, I helped Daddy put together my Learn N Groove table. (For those of you who don't know, it's a super-cool toy that sings LOTS of songs - with instrumental versions, and then in English and Espanol as well...) I mainly like it because I can hang on to it while I stand and beat on it... My parents can't wait until the batteries die! ;) Anyways, I LOVED helping with the construction part - I assisted by chewing on the legs of the table while Daddy manned the screwdriver.

I'm working on my game... REALLY, I am. I've managed to stay awake for the last couple of "dates" that I've had with some adorable younger women. Meet Mama Vee, also known as "The Toy Goddess!" Whenever I see her, new toys magically appear!!
