Memorial Day Flag Planting

Placing flags at Riverside National Cemetery

We saved a special flag for Grandpa Robert.

I brought a screw driver to help make the hole in the grass for the flag.

Remembering Grandpa!

It looks amazing when all of the flags are in place.

Patriotic girl!

We visited Mama Sue and Papa Harold too!

We are almost too heavy for Daddy to hoist us up!

Thank you, Papa Harold!!
One of the most meaningful events that Danni's Daisy troop does is the Memorial Day flag placement at Riverside National Cemetery.  They have flags for every single grave int he cemetery, and all kinds of volunteers come to help place them on the Saturday before Memorial Day.  We love to do our part, and it is especially meaningful because our Grandpa Robert, and Mommy's grandparents, Mama Sue and Papa Harold, are interred there. Thank you to Grandpa Robert and Papa Harold for their service!
