Another Park Discovery!

Danni HAD to go too!  (But not by herself... Mommy caught her halfway down... she's not a great slider like me!)

She was annoyed... the slide was too steep to climb up!

But not too steep to come down... again and again!

I love my sister!!!

We discovered a new park near our house!!  This one had some cool features that I have never seen before!  A rock climbing wall!!  And two HUGE slides!  I mastered the rock wall after one attempt... and from then on, it was my favorite way of climbing up to access the 'superfast slides' ... Even though she's still on the tiny side, Danni followed me just about every step of the way...  We both hope that we get to go back to this park soon!  (Although Mommy isn't too anxious to have that happen... the play structures and slides were a little tooooo tall and scary for her tastes!)  :)

We LOVE the Shoppes in Chino Hills!  Everyone wins ... there are stores there to entertain Mommy and a super cool water fountain there for Danni and me!!  We had a nice afternoon shopping and splashing!  Can you tell that I love summer?!

Buccaneer Bay

FINALLY!  Some sizzling hot summer days!!  When the temps reached the triple digits, all systems were go for a visit to Buccaneer Bay ... one of my favorite water parks!!  Danni got to go last year when she was only a few weeks old.  She wasn't allowed to go in the water... so this was her first year to splash and play with me!  She was a little apprehensive at first (the too small life jacket didn't help her mood!) ... but she ended up really enjoying it.  She and Daddy floated on the Lazy River while Mommy and I hit the water slides and fountains.  What a great day!  Guess who napped for 3 hours?  BOTH of us!!  Mommy and Daddy want to go back soon!!!

We love the park!!!  It has been uncharacteristically cool for August (almost too cold for my favorite water parks!) so we've been able to make the rounds of all of our favorite parks!!  Danni just loves to run and climb!!!  (And I love encouraging her to do daredevil stunts!!)

I love to help Daddy with the weekend chores!!  This weekend it was time to recycle, and to give the cars a bath!  I happily tagged along for both errands and was actually quite helpful!!  :)

Bug Box Builder

This month's project at Lowe's was a Bug Box!  I did most of the work myself this time... Daddy read the directions and held the wood in place while I hammed.  Mommy isn't so thrilled that I actually get it that this box is intended to capture and store insects.  On the way out of Lowe's, I asked if we could buy some bugs to go in my box.... and later I tried to get some ants to crawl in it.  I have a feeling that this project may disappear.....
