Our community had a Fall Festival on Saturday - it was a nice occasion for families to get together to listen to music, compete in contests (like hula hooping, pie eating, and pie baking!). In addition there was a chili cook-off and a dog costume contest. SO much going on -- I totally loved it! My favorite attractions were the petting zoo (everything was a "kitty" since that's the only animal word I know so far!) and the CORN! They filled up a giant pit with dried feed corn and let us kids go to town!!! I played for almost 45 minutes in the corn (and cried HARD when Mommy and Daddy took me out to go home) ... and then, I had corn EVERYWHERE... in my shoes, in my armpits, in my diaper.... you get the picture. I can't wait until next year!!!!

Looks like fun...I think I would have had fun in there too. I'm so bummed we missed the fall festival. I had planned to go but we had Natalie's b-day party and then a soccer game. You just wait until you hit this stage...busy, busy, busy! Take care, Marcy.
