Adventure Park!

Raiding the wood pile for a piece of lumber to add to the tree house...

The Beast was in concentration mode...

I added a roof to the treehouse ...

My serious assistant helped!

Mastering the rope bridge...

Pretty pleased that I did it without falling into the lake!

I did it a few more times to show off!  ;)

Danni did it too!  (And so did Daddy!)

Rafting!

I loved 'driving' my raft all around the lake!

She didn't like to go too far from shore ....

Daredevil raft jumping boy!

Back to the tree house for more building!

Sliding down the mud slide...

Splash down!

It was pretty deep...

I didn't care for the mud in my shoes!
We took a family field trip to a super cool adventure playground!  It was a simple park with some really cool new things for kids to do!  They had a construction area where kids could help build tree houses -- with real wood, nails, and hammers!!  They also had a mud slide (I was not a huge fan after going on it once... my shoes got totally soaked and full of mud.... yuck!), and a rope bridge that I mastered in no time!  My favorite part of the playground was the rafting lake.  Kids got to float around on Tom Sawyerish rafts in a little lake...  we drove them ourselves with sticks that we used to push on the bottom of the lake!  I 'drove' my raft around the lake for about an hour!  (Danni even tried it!!)  I can't wait to go back!!  :)

First Day of Kindergarten!

All ready to go!

My backpack is as big as I am!  :)

Walking to school with Daddy!

Meeting my teacher for the first time.

Inside my classroom!

I liked the name tags because they had Curious George's friends on them!  :)

First time on the rug with my class.... and I sat right up front!  :)
Can you believe that I'm a big bad kindergartner already?!  School started for me on July 9th (we're on a year-round schedule, so it's earlier than most schools... but I'll get a 4 week break in October to make up for it!)  I LOVE my teacher and have met some nice kids in my class.  So far though, I tell Mommy that we aren't learning anything - all we do is play and have fun.  Hmmm...  my new teacher is a little sneaky! ;)

More Water Fun!!

Mommy's lucky that I couldn't spray the water shooter far enough to drench her!  :)

LOVE the red slide!!

'I'm Ariel!!'

Blue slider!

Water sliding makes me happy!!

Robot baby!

On the shore with Mommy!

Danni liked floating the Lazy River with Daddy.

Her 'boat' was way bigger than she was!

Swimmer boy!

Trying to duck out of the way of the water spitter...
Soaring temperatures sent us back to The Cove for one last day of water play before school started!!  Danni and I had an absolute blast on all of our favorite slides... and she even enjoyed the Lazy River.  (Usually, we both complain the entire time -- it's way too boring to sit and float around... especially when there are water slides to be conquered!)

Patriotic Paraders!

Cutest little firecrackers!!

Wagon's all decorated and Danni was practicing her poses for the parade!

Silliness!

Handsome little patriot boy!

Yankee Doodle Danni!

I pulled the wagon all the way across the park... Danni approved of my hard work!

Smiling at everyone before the start of the parade!

Parading along!!

She kept yelling at me to slow down....

She'd Beast Face anyone who dared to talk to her...  And, she was fiercly guarding her fistfuls of candy!

I got a 'spin-wheel' ...

They had a giant slide at the street fair!

I almost got eaten by a huge shark!

She went down the big slide too!

I think she loved it!

Parading with Papa!

Post-parade gummi worm snack!

We took a dip in Papa's pool after the parade!!  :)
We celebrated the 4th of July with Papa this year in Ventura -- what an amazing trip!  The day started at the 'Push 'em - Pull 'em Parade' ...  we decorated our wagon and marched with a whole bunch of other kids (and dogs) down the parade route.  People threw all kinds of candy, beads, tiny flags, and frisbees - we had a blast collecting all of the swag!  :)  After the parade, we shopped the street fair...  We had a delicious lunch at Auntie Lynn's house, then went for a dip in Papa's pool.  After a looooong nap, we got to stay up late for a fun picnic dinner followed by our first fireworks show at Ventura College.  (Mommy didn't bring her camera!)  It was the BEST 4th of July we've ever had.... betcha this becomes a tradition!!  :)
