Trail Babies!

Nature babies!

Taking a quick break to refuel with some gummi bears...  I even shared with my sister!

I liked climbing all over the rocks and trees...  Danni (in her sparkly Toms) did not.

Still smiling at the top!

Little kidlets, big mountain!
Our familia got away from the hustle and bustle of the city and headed up to Mt. Charleston for a day during our Vegas vacation.  We hiked up a rocky path.  Surprisingly, neither of us whined or complained the entire time!  (Usually, we are not huge fans of nature!)  It was really beautiful -- the scenery and the weather!!  We'll definitely visit again next time! :)

Sharpshooter!

Archery lessons!

Ready, aim......

Fire!!!  (With perfect finger placement!!)

I liked the bow and arrow better... but the BB gun was still pretty cool!
We LOVE hanging out at Bass Pro Shops... it just so happened that the one in Vegas was having archery/shooting lessons for kids - so I happily participated!  I really liked the bow and arrow -- I shot my arrows into bales of hay inside the tent....  (the tent was red -- that's why the pictures look a little odd!)   After arrow shooting, I learned how to fire a BB gun!  Guess what's on my Christmas list now?!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Danni!!!

There were TONS of balloons in the living room!!!

Leapster love!

She was proud of her princess dress and princess shoes!

Pink donuts for birthday breakfast!

We went to an indoor playground....  think she liked it?

Rock climber boy!

I mastered the rope ladder too!

She thought it was hilarious!

On the 'troll bridge'...

Up so high!

Resting...

Princesses need a costume change too...

Birthday dinner at Serendipity...  I was entertained with my 'homework'...

She didn't like the baby cheeseburgers!

She DID love the sundae!

We all shared!

Not the strawberry, though ... that was all hers!

Our only family pic from our vacation!

TWO wishes!

Leading us in 'Happy Birthday!'

Happy 3rd Birthday, Danni!!
Danni is a lucky girl... she got to celebrate her 3rd birthday while we were in Las Vegas!!  :)  She woke up to find a living room full of balloons and lots of presents!!!  At the top of her list this year?  Squinkies, Hello Kitty stuff, and princess dresses... she scored in all 3 categories!  The birthday princess chose a breakfast of pink donuts... then we made our way to an indoor playground for a morning of fun!  Afterward, she chose McDonald's for lunch, and then she got a manicure!  We napped, hit the pool, then headed to Caesar's Palace for dinner at Serendipity...  YUM!  We had the most delicious ice cream sundae EVER.  Since it was a special night, Mommy and Daddy let us stay up (and out in public) late... we attempted to catch the 8:00 explosion of the volcano at the Mirage.  Wouldn't ya know it - it was canceled because of high winds.  Boo! We headed back to our hotel for (more!) dessert...  princess cake and cupcakes... then we all slept in a happy sugar coma.  Happy birthday, Princess Danni!  :)

Fun at the Children's Museum!

Danni tried her hand at plumbing...
I showed her how it was done!

Cutie mechanics!

Ready to drum!

In the wind chamber... with an older boy!!

I pulled myself up!

Danni needed some help from Daddy!

Watching a ball travel through a maze on the ceiling ...

My passengers don't look like they trust my piloting skills!

Blowing giant bubbles!

With a different shutter speed...  :)
One of our favorite Vegas haunts is the Lied Children's Museum.  It was just as fun as we remembered!  We spent the day playing with all of our old favorites and with the new exhibits as well!!!!  As always, this was a highlight of our trip!!!  :)

Vegas Fishies!

Ready for the pool!

Our favorite pool ...  LOVE the jelly fish fountain!

It was COLD!  The water was 70 and the outside temp was 110!!!

Happy little drenched Beast!

Getting soaked under the water fall!

Pool time = great naptime...

...times two!

Ready for more!

Since my shoes were a little tough to walk in, Danni wanted to take THIS mode of transportation to the pool!

Pool dudes!

Taking a break!
The best part of vacation?  SWIMMING!  Our hotel had several pools ... we explored them all!!  Our favorite was the kids' pool that was adjacent to our building.  It was only 2 feet deep at its deepest point and had fountains and water features to keep us cool!!  We swam at least twice a day.. which guaranteed Mommy and Daddy some quiet naptime and easy bedtimes!!  Everybody won!!  :)
