Rockin' Chapel!!

I played a Heavy Metal Drummer in the chapel skit.  :) My 'name' was Larry ... just like Papa!

Getting ready for our performance....

Making time with one of my costars!

I love being on stage! :)

There was a proud sister in the audience!

I helped to get things started by holding the Bible.  I also said the opening prayer in the microphone!

No one could understand what we were singing.  But we looked adorable doing the hand motions. :)

My drum solo.

Kickin' it after our performance!

Hanging back in the classroom with Sakai... (my favorite girl at school)  :)
My preschool class hosted chapel this week.  That meant that we got to do all of the pledges, prayers, songs, lessons, and readings.  I was the Bible monitor.  And, I got to do the opening prayer too, since the girl who was supposed to do it cried.  (I REALLY like to talk into the microphone!)  :)  My class sang a few songs and then did a 'Battle of the Bands' skit.  I was Larry the Drummer, the leader of a heavy metal band.  I got to bring my new drum set to school and I did my first solo onstage.  I rocked it!  I was also super excited to have my hair faux-hawked for the first time 'with blue jelly on top'  (blue hair gel) ...   Mommy says that I was so cute, I am forgiven for wearing a skull shirt in church!  :)

Play Park Invaders!

Going down the 'big slide!'

Guess who else likes to jump crazy on the shakey bridge?!

Just this week, I've mastered the fireman pole!

Playing nicely together ...

Mommy wouldn't push me on the swings until I smiled!

Danni isn't as easy to bargain with...

We make each other laugh! :)

Ladder climber girl!

Being crazy with my favorite best sister....

Making out on the park benches....
We are so lucky to live by so many cool parks!  The 'Yellow Park' is the closest to our house, so we took a nice walk over and had some fun with the kids from our neighborhood.  I really enjoyed playing with my sister!  She is fun to chase, and to tickle... and to kiss!  Mommy and Daddy wonder how long this 'playing nicely together' phase will last!!!  :)

Choo Choo Museum!

Danni thought that this box was a sled...  thankfully, she couldn't pull it toooo far...

Happy to be all up in the train action!

The 'caboost' was my favorite.

Peeking out the caboost...

All ready for the train ride!

Danni was excited too... until the conductor man wouldn't let her sit by herself.  She cried for the rest of the ride.

She perked up later when she got to ring a train bell!

And drive and old rusty train car...

And ring another train bell...

I got to climb all over ANOTHER caboost!

I hit a button that made this signal flash and make noise.... it was a little scary the first time... Not so much after the 50th....
I've been revisiting my train phase...  I love to wear my 'train man' overalls around ... and I like to make track-paths for all of my train cars...  So, Mommy and Daddy took us to visit the train museum in Perris.  We got to ride a real train, explore other old trains, and push buttons on all kinds of train signalers...  Danni got mad at the train conductor because he made her sit with Mommy on the train ride.  By the end of the trip, I think everyone regretted his decision ... she cried about it the whole way.  She was happier later when she got to play and make noise with some cool train bells!  :)

Zoo Day!

'Can I take my clothes off and go swimming?'

'That house matches my wagon.'

Making a little goat verrrry happy...

Danni kept trying to hug the goats... they weren't too interested ...

I scolded her for brushing the goat the wrong way...

Waiting for the train ride to start!

She tells me everything!  :)

LOVE the train!
Irvine Regional Park is the home of one of our favorite little zoos...  We headed out there to say hi to our animal friends and to take a ride on the park's little train.  At every traffic crossing, I reminded all of the cars that the flashing red lights meant STOP!  :)

Fun at the Irvine Spectrum!

I chose the 'biter horsey.'

Hanging on to the 'horsey stick'...

Making Mommy nervous...

We went to a cupcake place where you could decorate your own cupcake...

.... with as much candy as you could fit on it!

Danni was very serious about her creation...

I squeezed LOTS of candy on mine!

Danni's gummi worm, Starburst, gummi bear, sprinkle concoction...

Right before the candy/frosting avalanche...

She took some candy to go...  :)
After our trip to the beach, we swung by the Irvine Spectrum for some lunch and some fun!  What an awesome mall for kids!  We rode their antique carousel, visited the puppies in the pet store, made wishes in their fountains, and then decorated cupcakes in their baker's workshop!  They also had a ferris wheel and an ice skating rink... but Danni and I were so tired that we actually asked to go home to 'take a little rest!'  :)

Tide Poolin'

'I need some rest before I start my hike.'

Helping my sister navigate the 'train track path' down to the beach....

A gorgeous view... even better through pink Dora sunglasses!

Danni  didn't care for the wet sand...

Nature isn't her gig.

I ran away from the waves... sand AND water in the shoes isn't good.

We found tons of baby crabs... and Mommy crabs, and Daddy crabs...

She wanted THAT rock....

I taught her how to throw rocks into the ocean...

Writing my name in the sand for the very first time....  you can't read it because Danni tried to 'help'
Who gets to go the beach in January?!  WE DO!!  Although the water was a little chilly, the weather was perfect for a trek to Crystal Cove in Newport Beach to check out some tide pools.  We saw all sorts of sea creatures... baby fishies, crabs, sea anenomes, birdies... you name it!  Our favorite part was throwing rocks into the ocean ... and finding 'beach moneys' (pennies and quarters) along the path of our hike  (hmmm... Daddy started the hike with a lot more change in his pocket than he had at the end... )   Danni and I still aren't sand's biggest fans... maybe we just need more practice!  ;)
