Danni's Update...

Sleepy Danni!

She HATED her first sponge bath!

She loves lounging with the Dee-Dee!

Second bath (submerged) was much better!

She's always hungry... even for noses!

Wide awake and ready for party time! (Unfortunately, this is usually at about 11 p.m.!) :)

Baby-to-go

Snuggling with Mommy...

Reading with Daddy...

BBQ-ing with Daddy, who can do anything one-handed!

Danni can't talk just yet... so I'll speak for her! Being the great big brother that I am, I've decided to share my blog with her! (Well, actually, Mommy helped me make that decision because she doesn't think she can keep up with TWO blogs!) Soooo, I will try to keep you all updated on Danni's progress as well as my own!

Her first week and a half at home was so much smoother than any of us could have imagined! She is a great sleeper -- lets Mommy sleep 4 hour stretches at night (I was up every 2 hours! Sorry, Mommy!!) She is sweet and patient and lets me get tons of attention from my parents! :) She had her first doctor's appointment and was already nearly back to her birth weight (that means she's a great nurser too!!) I sure hope she doesn't trick Mommy and Daddy into having a third!!! ;)

A new place to SPLASH!!

Getting ready to get soaked in the fountain! (I had just had pizza for lunch... can you tell?)

Running around with the big kids!

Woohoohoo! The water was COLD!

DRENCHED!

Running through the fountain! I was SO sad to leave!!

We went shopping in Chino Hills this week and I discovered an AWESOME fountain to splash in! Even though I didn't have my swim trunks on, Mommy and Daddy still let me get drenched! Mommy likes this fountain better than the water park because there are shops nearby for her and Danni to explore!

Inspired...

First time on my potty chair!

Wiping. (I hit the front and the back SEVERAL times... eventually overflowed the toilet!)

Dismounting....

... and carrying my chair to another bathroom....

Potty training is FUN!

Hmmm... could I be one step closer to potty training? My cousins visited this weekend -- both are potty trained!! I watched them use their potty chair to pee pee on the potty, and suddenly, I wanted to do it too!!! I got my own "special pee pee chair" out of the closet, set it up, and climbed right on!!! Later, I told my Mommy, "Shirt off! Pants off! Diaper off!" Then I took the throne al fresco. I peed once in the potty... but after that, I've only peed ON the potty. It will take a few tries, but I am definitely on my way to big boy toilet status! :) Here are some embarrassing pix that my future girlfriends will undoubtedly enjoy!

Future Photographer?

Kim's Light meter was cool!

Danni snuggled up on the couch... right before she peed and pooped on it! :)

Posing on the stairs

Self portrait with "Zashi's Camera"

Kim Fox, Mommy and Daddy's fave photographer, came to visit this week to take pictures of Danni for her birth announcements. I was totally intrigued by her gear and wanted to get my fingers all over it! Luckily, Mommy had her old camera handy, and I got to borrow that! Since Kim's visit, I have been practicing my photography skills. So far, I am great at taking pictures of my chins, the ceiling, and people's toes.... :)

Sharing my Sister!

I love it when our guests come bearing food. Papa and Auntie Lynn brought us BJ's!

Danni with Auntie Elaine.

Sharing my Papa with Danni.

Uncle Kisha loves Danni!

Papa and Auntie Lynne snuggling Danni.

We have had a TON of company... everyone has wanted to stop by to congratulate me on being a big brother! I am a pretty generous guy, so I didn't mind sharing my baby sister with them for a few hours!! :) It has been great to see so many friends and family members!! (And, I've gotten a ton of big brother presents too!!) I like this gig!!

Hangin' with the Basu Boyz!

I found a new partner in crime... Deep. This was right before we were told not to climb on the dining room table!

My cousins share my love of light switches! :)

Splashing at the water park with Aakash and Uncle Kisha.

Water ON!!

Splashing with cousin Deep.

We decided to throw weeds in the kiddie pool....

I drew with my Auntie Elaine...

Aakash and Deep cruising through the living room...

Playing with the record player with cousin Deep.

Deep made a looooooong train!!

My cousins Deep and Aakash came to visit this weekend and I REALLY enjoyed it! We had lots of quality play time together! I had fun showing them one of my favorite hangouts -- the water park!! They loved it too! We also had fun playing with my toys -- Deep built a looooong train, and Aakash drove my little truck all over the living room! I was sad when they left!! Wish they lived closer! :)

Sister Kisses!!!

Sitting with Daddy and Danni...

Mama Vee helped me hold and kiss Danni....

Giving Danni a big brotherly kiss...

I LOVE holding my baby sister!

Big Bro & Little Sis

I LOVE to kiss my sis!

I LOVE my new baby sister! In fact, she is the only one who gets any kisses in our household anymore! Anytime I see her, I exclaim, "KISS, Danni!!" and I go in for the kiss... Mommy and Daddy tell me that one day, I might want to learn to kiss my sis a little more appropriately, but for now, they love it that I adore my sister! :)

BIG ZASHI!!

My little sis ... just minutes old!

Proud Mama
Proud Daddy

Anneliese Elisabeth ... or as I call her "Danni"

Checking her out with Mama Vee...

Checking Baby Annie out while Papa cuddles her ... I think we'll keep her!

"Zashi's holding it!" I told my parents!
alternate caption (from Jamie F)... Get used to the noise, Zack, it will go on for the rest of your life!!

Happy family of four. We had to take the picture quickly because I was pressing all the buttons on the hospital bed!

I LOVE my new sister... and being a big brother!!!

I am a big brother now!! My new baby sister, Anneliese Elisabeth, arrived on Thursday, June 18th at 9:59 a.m. I got to meet her just a few hours later. I've already renamed her ... I call her "Danni!" So far, I think she's pretty cool! (Of course, she's not big enough to steal my toys or mess up my room ...) I love to hold her, I love to kiss her, and I love to play with her toes. I am a great sharer too... I've tried to share my cereal, cookies, and trucks with her, but she's not interested just yet. So far, being a big brother rocks -- Big Zashi (what I now call myself!) is amazing!!!
