Hot tub time is one of my favorite times of the day! (Mommy, Daddy, and I hop in every night right before bedtime...) It's so nice to soak and splash as a family! I got a whole bunch of balls (for a ball pit) for my birthday... I wasn't too interested in them until Daddy dumped them in the hot tub! Now, it is my personal mission to throw them ALL overboard. (I'm really making sure Daddy gets his exercise, because he is the one that has to go and pick them all back up!)

I am learning to feed myself!! (And in the process, I am learning how to make a MAJOR mess!) Spoons can be a bit tricky, because if you turn them upside down, gravity takes over and your food splats in your lap. Forks are a little bit easier... I've gotten quite talented at stabbing macaroni and cheese AND getting most of it into my mouth! Practice makes perfect.... and lots of laundry for Mommy! :)

I am SUCH a boy! Any time that Daddy busts out the tools, I have to drop whatever it is I'm doing and get all up in the action! This weekend, Daddy put together a cool parking garage that I got for my birthday (Thanks, Greg and Steph!!), I was VERY instrumental in helping with its construction. After it was all done, I spent about an hour figuring out how everything worked... hence the serious expressions -- there's some serious brainwork going on here!! :)

Last week, I got to go on a playdate to Jack and Noah's house! They're twins and a WHOLE lot of fun!!! I had a great time unloading their closet and scattering toys all over the house.... After spending an afternoon in the company of three energetic boys, Mommy is thankful that I was born solo... WHEW! (I must admit, I was tired too!!)

Did you know that Grandma Marilyn and Grandpa Robert are both retired librarians?? That probably explains why I LOVE going to the library!!! (Although I got SO excited the last time I went, I screeched loudly, and Mommy got dirty looks from the story time reader....) Today I had fun taking books off of the shelves and rearranging the furniture in the kids' area. I LOVE books!!

Laundry baskets are FUN!

Mommy tells me that I am going to be someone's dream guy!! I LOVE to help with the laundry! There's just something about the laundry room that gets me all fired up. I bang on the dryer, scoot the laundry basket around, and throw clothes in the trash can. (The trash can is in the laundry room because my parents had to hide it after I threw the phone away...) Here's me being helpful!!!

Today was my first day of swim lessons! Mommy and Daddy took me the The Aquatic Zone .. it's a place near our house that has 2 indoor pools (no sunburns for ME!) I loved my teacher, Kelsey. She sang songs with me, we splashed around and played with all kinds of toys. My favorite part was walking along a huge mat and then jumping in. I even got my head all the way under water... it didn't bother me one bit. I only have 2 complaints: I wanted to swim longer and I wanted Mommy to get out of the pool so I could flirt more with Kelsey!! Maybe next week!!!

My Great Ahntee Suz gave me the coolest birthday gift -- a family pass to the LA Zoo!! (And an adorable "Junior Zookeeper" ensemble as well!) Today was our maiden voyage to the Zoo, and boy did I have a GREAT time! We first went the petting zoo ... although I must admit I was more into the GIRLS there than the goats or sheep. (I met a girl named "Heaven" ... what WERE her parents thinking?!) My favorite animals were the giraffes (there's a baby giraffe there -- she is a HUGE baby at 5 1/2 feet tall!!!) and the monkeys... I had fun playing on the playground and splashing in the water fountain as well. I can't wait to go back!!!

It was a weekend filled with family! I got to visit my Mama Vee and Uncle Paul this weekend as well! I love Mama Vee's house because she spoils me rotten! :) There are always new toys for me to play with (although I am really interested in her dvd player, her trashcan, and her rocking chair!) Being the first grandbaby in the family pretty much RULES! :)

Since my bedtime is 7:00 p.m., I didn't get to see any fireworks this year... I didn't feel like I missed out on anything, though! I had lots of fun visiting my Grandpa Larry in Ventura! We spent the day swimming and playing in his house (he even let me throw a giant beach ball inside! Something Mommy says he NEVER let her do growing up!!!) My Great Ahntee Suz came over to play as well!! The next day we went to Auntie Lynn's house for sticky buns. YUMMMMM!!! (That's a word I can say now!!) I got to play with her doggie, Molly - I got lots of kisses from her!! It was a fantastic weekend - I can't wait to go back!
